Quote
"The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be lighted." -- Plutarch
This quote was used in the the "Galileo was right" episode of "From the Earth to the Moon". Watch the episode and you'll learn about field geology both from the surface of the moon and from above.
That's where I got it from. I've just finished watching the miniseries again on DVD, and am almost through volume 3 of "Man on the Moon" which were the books that the series was mostly based upon.

Plutarch - wasn't he the dog in the Disney cartoons that didn't talk?
ReplyDeleteNahhh, I double checked the name, because I thought it was that actor guy from "Animal House" who went on to become a Senator or something.
